    Description

    The poem “Mindowe, King of Lithuania” is a tragedy based on the historical events of ancient Lithuania. It is a unique and undoubtedly valuable interpretation of our region’s history, written by the classic of Polish literature, a younger contemporary of Adam Mickiewicz and a witness to the activities of the Philarets and Philomaths — Juliusz Słowacki.

    The reproductions of old postcards depict the life and career of Juliusz Słowacki (1809–1849). Special attention is given to his connection with Belarus. The edition is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the famous Polish poet.
