Jack Torrence’s new job at the Overlook Hotel is the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. During the off-season, he, along with his wife Wendy and son Danny, moves into the old hotel to work there as winter caretaker. There, Jack will have plenty of time to reconnect with his family and work on his own literary works.
