The first known panorama of Krakow.

The engraving comes from the “World Chronicle” by Hartmann Schedel (1440-1514). “Chronicle” is richly illustrated with woodcuts and tells the biblical story from the creation of the world. It was published in Latin and German. Up to 2,500 copies were printed, which is quite a large circulation for an incunabula (an edition from the beginning of printing to 1501).
