Description
For the first time in Belarusian — the fifth part of the Witcher Geralt saga.
Why does a poet, who is not only useless in war but sometimes even harmful, go where he didn’t even want to go? Why does an archer risk her life to help a witcher who is a complete stranger to her? Why does a vampire, who could lead a peaceful eternal life, set out on a journey dangerous even for him? Why does a Nilfgaardian take the side of someone he once considered a mortal enemy — and who is still a mortal enemy to him? And why, finally, did a witcher, who longed to sacrifice only himself to destiny, accept sacrifices he had no right to? Perhaps because “life differs from a bank in that the former knows debts that are paid by a debt to others.”
The saga of Andžej Sapkoŭski about the Witcher Geralt is one of the best examples of fantasy literature. Its heroes have long since become cult characters among readers all over the world.
