The collection contains 33 carefully selected pieces with melodies—songs, refrains, lullabies, and play songs, In addition, the author has included in the collection not only examples of children’s folklore, but has also introduced readers to lyrical poetry—both ritual and non-ritual—as well as dance pieces.

In addition to the sheet music, the edition includes an audio supplement that allows readers to listen to and learn the melodies of the songs on their own.
