Description
The very first novel of the writer – “Former Son ” – tells about a young man who was injured in a terrible crush at Nemiga and spent 10 years in a coma. He was taken care of by his grandmother, who, in turn, tried to see the world through her grandson’s eyes in order to tell him everything when he recovers. She tells and the reader remembers what the Belarusians experienced during this time: as if the whole country lay in a coma, because there was no impulse that would make this living body get up and do something for itself. And the consequences of this lying down catch up even when you revive and hope appears.
