Description
Uładzimier Niaklajeu (born 1946 in Kreva) is an absolute classic of contemporary Belarusian literature whose works have been translated into dozens of world languages. His poetry is characterized by suggestiveness and extraordinary resilience of the line, clearly showing a tight connection between the lyrical hero and the past, present, and future of his homeland and the wider world.
“Pieravybranaje” is a large-scale creative result, a “selection of the best,” where the author reviews his path through the prism of today’s dramatic times. This edition is the true quintessence of Niaklajeu’s poetry. It includes both iconic works that have already become classics and new poems written in exile.
