Description
The second expanded edition of the popular “Guide to the Feminization of the Belarusian Language” offers feminitives (Nomina agentis and several other personal nominations) found in historical and contemporary texts written in the classical orthography. The guide also explains the principles of creating feminitives inherent to the Belarusian language.
Uladzislaŭ Harbacki is a political scientist specializing in gender studies, a sociolinguist, a translator from French, Lithuanian, and Ukrainian, and a lecturer in political science at EHU (Vilnius). He is the author of the monograph “Feminization of the Belarusian Language: A Sociolinguistic Study” (Vilnius, 2019; London, 2024).
