“To Kill Upalminzah” is the third book by Zmicier Bartosik in the “Travels of Freedom” series, following the previous editions: “The Master Had a Talking Sparrow” and “The Chinese Dentist’s Clinic.”

Here, as in his earlier books, the author recounts unknown facts of Belarusian history based on documents and the voices of living witnesses, of whom almost none remained by the time of the book’s publication. It is about a final attempt to rescue reality — as it truly was in post-war Belarus, without interpretations.
