Description
“Sonm-Trava: Facets of Words” is a unique collection by Andrej Bursau, featuring works from previous books, new poems, translations, and texts that were scattered across the internet for a long time. This is a literary alchemical experience where language becomes magic: the author uses his own aesthetic orthography, combining Old Belarusian, English, and the fantastic — offering the reader a complex yet sublime route through words and thoughts.
The new book by Andrej Bursau has turned out to be a shocking starfall of indescribable beauty on the horizon of Belarusian literature. The poet, translator, artist, and linguist challenges the foundations of both Narkamaŭka and Taraškievica, proposing his own intricate and aesthetic orthography that awakens the Old Belarusian language with a magician’s light touch. Truly, nothing like this has appeared in Belarusian literature until now. (Uladzislau Harbacki)
