Description
Czesław Miłosz is one of the most outstanding poets and essayists of the 20th century, a winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1980. His work and biography are closely connected with the history of Central and Eastern Europe, including Belarus.
The collection “Man of many floors” includes selected poems from all periods of the author’s creative work. Many Belarusian translations are published for the first time.
Czeslaw Milosz’s poetry is intellectual, and the catastrophism of the poems of the interwar period is close to you today, a century later. But, rather, it was his self-irony that gave him the strength to live almost a century, this very century.
