Description

The book tells the story of Raścisłaŭ Lapicki (1928–1950), founder of an underground youth organization and fighter against totalitarianism for the freedom of his Homeland.

Raścisłaŭ lived only 22 years. As a young man, he organized resistance in the Mjadziel and Smarhoń regions. He and his fellow students were arrested for distributing leaflets. Raścisłaŭ was executed, having refused to plead for mercy.

Author Michas Čarniaŭski was a renowned Belarusian archaeologist and historian who restored the names of forgotten heroes to the nation’s history.
