Tabitha Plimtak lives on the edge of the world. Her grumpy relatives send her down the cliff every day to get food and other necessities. But this doesn’t bother the girl: there are wonderful people living in the small caves at the foot of the hill. And the nicest of them is Mr. Drigotka, who has taken up residence just below the shadow line. When rumors begin to circulate about a monster emerging from the depths below the wall, it is Mr. Drigotka who worries Tabitha the most. After all, something really hungry is lurking there….
