Description

I once wrote an essay about the rhythm of Tolkien’s works in The Lord of the Rings. Short rhythms, when repeated, develop into longer rhythms; There’s a certain cyclicality in his work that I think is one of the reasons why so many, so many of us are fascinated by it. We are drawn into that rhythm, and we are happy in it.
