Description
This book is an attempt to comprehend the chaos in which Belarusians find themselves after 2020. It consists of real and fictional stories, overheard phrases in different languages, fleeting impressions, passions and memories, what life can be filled with during the dictatorship in Belarus and the war in Ukraine.
The narrator searches everywhere for human and non-human traces, for plots that are unfolding right before our eyes, and for stories that happened long ago and of which almost nothing has survived. She tries to capture the spirit of timelessness in Warsaw and Minsk, Grodno and Krakow, as well as other cities and towns.
The book shows the world through the eyes of a Belarusian woman who found herself in forced emigration and tries to understand the processes – explicit and hidden – that are currently taking place in the world.
