Description
The story begins when the hobbit Frodo Baggins inherits a powerful and malevolent artifact — the One Ring, forged by the Dark Lord Sauron. To prevent Sauron from returning to full strength, Frodo and eight companions (a wizard, an elf, a dwarf, men, and hobbits) form the Fellowship of the Ring and set out on a perilous journey across Middle-earth. Their sole objective is to carry the Ring to the Cracks of Doom (or Mount Doom) in Mordor and destroy it.
This is a work about friendship, courage, and the inevitability of sacrifice in the fight against universal evil.
Gandalf the Grey:
“Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.”
