“Self-sown” listens to the mood of our times and highlights the absurdity of the reality around us. In a collection of short stories that can be read like a complex literary tale, Slowik has carefully captured the whispers of nature, as well as the climate catastrophe unfolding before our eyes.

In the world of the protagonists of “Samolubes” imagination rules, there are no clear rules, and the boundary between the world of humans and nature is becoming increasingly blurred. This is a story about us – here and now, in the future. The author subtly takes us out of our comfort zone, juxtaposing his characters with the unknown, the unknowable, the unnamed.

Is this a literary joke or a premonition of the solstice of the Anthropocene era?
