    Uładzimier Arłou is known primarily as the author of popular historical books: “The Mercy of Prince Heronim,” “The Emperor’s Dreams,” “Her Majesty’s Lover,” “The Time of the Plague,” and “The Country of Belarus.” Arłou the poet has his own readership as well. His previous book of free verse, “Fauna of Dreams” (1995), has long since become a rarity. Texts from it have been translated into English, French, German, Czech, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, and other European languages. In this new book of poetry, the author continues his risky journeys through space and time.
