Preikestolen (The Pulpit Rock) — a tourist attraction in Norway. This steep rock rises 604 m above the Luse Fjord. The rock was formed during the last ice age, about 10,000 years ago, and will one day collapse due to a deep fissure running its entire length, although geologists have confirmed that the plateau is currently safe.
Climbing it is quite a challenge, but fatal accidents at this site are extremely rare, despite hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
